Welcome to Day 23 of The Challenge.
Be diligent. There are only 2 days left!
~
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily,
as to the Lord, and not unto men
~
The Pharisees did things to be seen and praised of men, but what was their reward? Jesus said they already had their reward here on earth.
Christians, however, are instructed to store up treasures in Heaven that will last forever! We should have a single-minded heart looking only to Jesus for our fulfillment and joy for He is the only one who sees that which is done in secret and will reward us before the Father’s throne.
Don’t look around to see who is doing what and let that dictate your motives, for the servant will be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven!
~
“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.”
(Matthew 6:33).
“Without faith it is impossible to please [God]:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,
and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
(Hebrews 11:6).
“Thou wilt show me the path of life:
In Thy presence is fullness of joy;
At Thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”
(Psalm 16:11).

Anna,
God bless you for reminding us of the greatness in being a servant. Thank you for holding forth the Word of Life. What precious Scriptures you chose!

What a reminder to live for the audience of One…I really appreciated this, Anna!

I had to slap myself! I didn’t believe that I had read what I had just read! Our family devotions was on being a servant! We even read about the Pharisees!
But above all these, I greatly appreciated your comment about not looking to those around us. God showed me just 2 days ago that this is what I have been doing. It was causing great stress in me.
I just…I just have to praise God: HIS WORD IS TRUE! HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!
