Welcome to Day 4 of The Challenge!
~
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,
then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
~
There is so much in this one small verse!! Just studying it briefly has me asking tons of questions, and wondering about the different aspects and possible meanings of what is written here. I’m not wise enough to go into a great exploration of the details and intricacies of this verse. I suggest that you dive into it yourself, though. But one thing that did catch my eye was the phrase, “Christ, who is our life.” That is a statement, not a goal or a suggestion. Christ IS our life. He is at the core of our spiritual being, because He dwells IN us we have life! As Paul says, “Not I, but Christ liveth in me.” (Gal 2:20) He is the origin of our physical life, by Christ all things were created. (Col 1:16-17) My thought, and question, concerning this phrase is this: Christ is our life, but, do we manifest that fact in the way we live?
In the physical realm, that of look, and sound, the world where our five senses live, is it apparent to those around us that Christ is our life? In the Spiritual realm, when people speak to us, or see how we act and think, do they immediately see that Christ IS our life? Or is the Life of Jesus hidden behind a worldly cover up? He is our life! Why shouldn’t people see that? If you’re wondering how you make it obvious that Christ is your life keep reading Colossians 3. I don’t want to steal the next persons thunder, but in the very next verse it gives us practical instructions on how to live in a way that reveals the Person who is the very essence of our life! Search the Word of God, look for evidences of Christ’s attributes, and then ask God to give you the grace and humility to be like Jesus! Then, Christ will be revealed in you, and you will be glorified in Him. Reveal to all that Christ is your life.

Laura, that is so true! If we have any questions about something, we should remember that Christ is our Life, and would He be pleased. Thanks for the encouragement! I cannot wait to see what tommorrows post will be(the answer).

That same exact phrase, “who is our life” stuck out to me also.
