The first phase of The Challenge II is to memorize 12 key verses Welcome to the first phase of The Challenge II! Each person who successfully memorizes all of the following verses by April 23rd will receive a free Soulwinners Resource Kit! When you have successfully memorized and quoted all of these verses, have one of your parents call the Journey office at 630-323-9800 ext. 522.

The 12 verses that we have chosen are just a very few of the many that can be effectively used when sharing the good news of salvation. You do not have to use all of them in a Gospel presentation, though at least one from each section would be good. Sometimes God will bring different verses to mind in different conversations. The important thing is to memorize them and know them by heart so that you are ready to share them all without a moment’s notice.

Man Has Sinned

"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

James 2:10: “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

Sin Has Punishment:

Romans 5:12: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Jesus Is the Only Way of Salvation:

"God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Romans 5:8: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Salvation—Believe in the Heart, Confess with the Mouth:

"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

I John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
