Andy Warner made a commitment to honor God in all of his relationships. Seeking to keep his heart focused on the Lord, he spent his single years serving the Lord in ministry. This involved traveling across the nation and to several foreign countries. After immersing himself in the Scriptures for three years at the International Ministerial Institute, he led a Journey to the Heart team of fellows in March 2008. His wholehearted love for the Lord challenged each of the young men on his team to deepen their walk with God.

Amanda Shepherd made a commitment as a teenager to guard her heart and to not seek deep friendships with guys without her parents’ blessing. Instead, she sought to honor God in every area of her life. In April 2008 she led a Journey to the Heart team of girls and there found renewed contentment in her relationship with the Lord.

Through a number of incredible events orchestrated by the Lord, their lives were brought together. On August 30, 2008 they were married. Today they are celebrating their first Valentine’s Day as a couple. In our day of so many casual commitments and selfish relationships, here is a couple who followed the Lord and did it right. May this story challenge each of us to do the same!
