I was reading an art lesson today about shadows that said, "There is not even a shadow of turning with the Lord." Not even the slightest shadow! Praise God we can know without a shadow of a doubt that He WILL do what He says He will do! He will never leave us or forsake us. How comforting to know that even in the darkest trials, He is with us!
God is faithful not only to bless us when we obey Him, but also to correct us when we stray from Him.
How pleasant it was to "hear" from you, Liz! Thank you for reminding us of those powerful truths!
What a life-changing experience that was in Sept. '07 when you assisted in leading our Journey team! I so appreciated your example of humility and God's wisdom that you shared with us! Thank you, Liz, for being a channel of God's love and blessing!

As many of you have probably already noticed, today's verse 13 marks that half-way point in memorizing this chapter! Hoorah! Let's keep advancing forward. March on, comrades in Christ! Don't give up!

Liz! Thank you for the reminder that God will remain faithful to bless, as well as to punish. Though I sometimes forget the latter, I know it is true. For when my prideful heart puffs up, He is always faithful to use people and circumstances to humble me.

What you shared this morning tied in so well with a verse I read during my quiet time: Jer. 46:28 "Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee: for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished." God promised that He would have mercy on them; yet, He also promised to remain faithful to His word and punish them for their disobedience and sin.
I am so thankful that I serve a God whom I can fully trust to never change. Though people and circumstances may disappoint me, He always will keep His word!

Thank you again for sharing, Liz! I praise the Lord for placing you as our Journey team assistant. What a pleasure it was to get to know you. I can still remember you taking time to pray with me. That was such a special blessing :)

So many things around us may change...circumstances, people and things. But God never changes. Despite our lack of love and many shortcomings, His faithfulness to us as well as to what He has promised is sure. Thanks for the reminder Liz!

This verse really points to God's amazing character because He is ever faithful and and true to His Word. He is the same today, yesterday and forever!
Thanks, Elizabeth, for sharing your insights!

I like the way this verse is written and the promise it holds. Even though people can be fickle and changing as sand, God is as firm and unchanging as a rock. What a promise! That we can cling to this Rock!
Thank you so much for these devotionals, and thank you Elizabeth for writing today!
